One days work
With 55 spiles (taps) and 1 day of gathering, 27 gal. of sap resulted. It takes about 40 gal of sap to make 1 gal of syrup. Carrying pails in the bush through deep snow is only fun when the pancakes are ready to eat.

Warning ribbons
There is truck and other large vehicles cutting across Clarke Rd at 2 gates logging road.
Ribbons have been hung from both sides of the pass-through to warn traffic on Clarke Rd.
Maple syrup coming soon
The early sign of sap flowing is the 'ring' around maple trees. Sap will flow in a few days.
