Deep snow

Well, the last few days dumped about 10 inches of powder snow and drifted it with some wind.  Causeway hill that has an ice layer under the snow made it difficult for a snowmobile without studs to climb hills.
The pulling sled had to be disconnected to barely reach the top of the hill.  Yuk for living in the bush.

Family Day

Lots of snowmobiles on the weekend.   But no machines went down Guest Trail or onto the island.   That is nice.

Snow load on road

If you are planning on driving in, best to pack a shovel to be able to dig dirt from the side of the road to give your vehicle traction under the wheels.

The road has not been plowed and the photo below shows the difficulty of freeing the vehicle.
